Bintern aka The Rise of The Tech Tabloid
That’s an amalgamation of ‘bin’ and ‘intern’ not as some might think, ‘bint’ and ‘ern’.
Our most vocal tweeter apart from the tweeters he mentions in his post, has penned a piece on life as a disgruntled intern at The Kernel.
To be fair he’s only following in the trend for tech reporters to report on the office and organisational flanneuring of other tech reporters started by Kernel Tory Whip, Milo.
But reading between the editorially disregarded lines, Rayhan makes a salient point.
Tech reporting is dull, really fucking dull. Just read this snooty drone fest from Mr Hidden Ass. Or anything anywhere else, ever.
So let’s try and change that, starting right now. Technically Crunchy is prepared to try a new, possibly painful techxual position and do some earnest muck raking, poorly researched editorial ego bashing and solemnly swear to never host an event, summit, incubator, talk, walk, drinkies, or speed date. Period.
Now that Murdoch’s hack journalism is at an end, think of us as your News of The World, your Fake Sheik or your Piers ‘world wishes it was Fawkes’ Morgan.
Tell us something and tell it to us now!
